Land art collaboration on the river Lune in Lancaster

Land art as activism from fellow Preston-based poet and Guests of the Earth member Nicolas Guy Williams. Nick, Steph and Benedict have constructing a nuclear waste symbol out of drift wood as a way of protesting against Nu Gen’s plans to build three AP 1000 nuclear plants close to Sellafield in Cumbria.

I liked the idea of the drift wood washing away, quite unlike nuclear waste, which will be with us for over 100,000 years.
