On Saturday the 24th of January the Picture the Poet Exhibition opened at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery. Over the past few local poets have been working with the Harris, the National Portrait Gallery, Apple and Snakes and Litfest to put on a series of events based around the exhibition. This round-up aims to summarise the events. More detailed reviews from different perspectives will be published in this month’s PPS Newsletter.
Saturday 24th January: Poets Take Over the Harris
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition local poets took over the Harris. This involved an action packed day of readings from the national poets in the exhibition space and performances of our own work throughout the museum.
